Every Thursday I like to post a tool that I think is either helpful, quirky, or intriguing to those who lead in ministry.
Today I am posting one of my favorite FREE resources that is available to almost everyone in the US. There is an app that is called Hoopla.
Hoopla is an app that utilizes a Library Card to give you several Digital Books during the month.
In Greenville, SC we get 5 downloads per month that could either be an E-book or an Audio book.
This has been such a wonderful tool. I have read/listened to over 60 audio books over the past 2 years!
Here are a few of my favorites available on the app.
Newly released, The Intentional Year by Glenn and Holly Packiam - This is a wonderful book for those trying to setup what their next year looks like from relationships, practices, and character transformations.
Thoughts for Young Men by J.C. Ryle - Yes, his name is JC. This was one of the formative books when I was getting involved in ministry. I think this is a great book for any young man trying to pursue Christ.
The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho - This enchanting work of fiction takes you on an incredible journey of a young shepherd boy named Santiago. This is considered by many to be a classic and I wholeheartedly agree.
Leaders, one of the best things you can do is invest in your ability to think by reading good books. Hoopla allows you to do this for FREE as long as you have a library card!
